Land Use Change and the Structural Diversity of Affem Boussou Community Forest in the Tchamba 1 Commune (Tchamba Prefecture, Togo)

Affem Boussou community forest (AFC) abounds in important biological resources. This study, which contributes to its better management, examines the spatiotemporal dynamics of vegetation and ecological structural characteristics propose a zoning plan for said forest. The analysis land use AFC from Google Earth images 2015, 2018, 2021 revealed regressive trend formations: crops fallows (−33.98%), dense dry forests (−7.92%), gallery (−3.46%), plantations (−100%), grassy savannahs, meadows (−18.84%), except tree/shrub savannahs (484.23%). floristic inventory identified 163 species divided into 129 genera 55 families. Fabaceae (14.02%), Combretaceae (10.55%) are most represented Anogeissus leiocarpa (5.19%) Vitellaria paradoxa (4.72%) frequent species. We note dominance individuals small diameters. regeneration potential is 64 feet/ha due 21 suckers, 29 seedlings, 14 shoots. As plan, was subdivided four zones: agroforestry zone (18.80%), sustainable production (42.22%), buffer (11%), conservation (28%). These results constitute scientific basis testing indicators management Togo.
